Keyword preprocessors/actions: timestamps, sort list

When editing, it would be nice to add some keywords which are processed and the results saved. eg:

  <time-stamp/>

  <sort-this-list-below/>
   *banana
   *apple
   *grapes
   *peas

And before the source text is saved, the time-stamp is replaced with the current time, and the list below is sorted.

With vim + unix, you can just pipe a range of lines to an external command, like "date" or "sort", and get the result back. Maybe other editors can do likewise... --HaJoGurt
There are at least two patches in regard to this: WikiPatches/AutoSignature, WikiPatches/AutoSignatureWithTimeStamp. --JuanmaMP
