Wiki:RiVer
hi everyone who's been asking after me - I was quite active on this site in around 2003 when I was setting up several wikis, but have since moved on. Don't expect to see me around so often.
Lots of computing experience 1979-1988, then decided I didn't want to spend my whole life coding.
In September 2001 I had still never knowingly looked at a line of Perl, but then I discovered UseModWiki and learnt Perl in order to understand how this package worked (this was before you had v1.0)
I was, and am, interested in wiki as an anarchistic publishig tool, in two different modes
- classic wiki mode where anyone can edit
- in 'easy website' mode so that people who are put off by all this FTP & password stuff can get info onto the web for others to see.
