MediaWiki

MediaWiki is a free and open-source wiki software written in PHP and used by some large-scale wikis including WikiPedia and FanDom?. It is developed and maintained by the WikiMedia Foundation and contributors.

MediaWiki is the rewritten wiki software of the "PHP script" that was heavily influenced by UseModWiki. For example, features such as FreeLinks and SubPage are also implemented by MediaWiki. Its formerly-bundled Nostalgia skin resembles the interface of UseModWiki and remains maintained officially.

BrionVibber was once the lead developer of MediaWiki.
