It would be great if the user coming to the home page could see the recent changes highlighted, say on a side bar. This is because naive users may not think to click on the recent changes link, and so may be unaware of what's changed.

Along these lines, it would be really neat to set a "last visited" cookie, so that you could show the changes that had occured since the last time the user visited the site. This might be problematic, I know. But interesting.
